WINTER 2012

Winter is finally here after a warm Autumn, sold sold great stuff over Xmas to fund the silly season, back with the main list with some tasty gems I hope you will love.

Please also take note of the great collection of BEAT INSTRUMENTAL magazines in sotck. The BEST UK music magazine ever, from the 60's to mid 70's, the usual music mags were full of things like "Jimi likes girls with blode hair", BI went into great depth about the recording techniques, instruments used, who was in the studio with who, written by musicians for musicians - every one a fascinating read. try 1 at least !

Credit crunch - what credit crunch ? Records still make a great investment, price still rising rapidly better than watching your money in the bank, watch it going round on a turntable instead !

Due to the rubbish state of the UK economy prices may seem much better than normal to our fellow collectors worldwide, get it while you can !

Prices on the net and in particular Ebay seem to be going through the roof for nice items - we know that we could get bigger prices on some of these items there, but we run this site for the love of the music and to reward our loyal customers. We've never had ambitions to be rich (it shows!) and would rather more folks hear this great stuff we collect. Having said that a lot of our prices have risen over the years - if we get it cheap you get it cheap, if it's costs us, it costs you.

BLACK BIRDS - TOUCH OF MUSIC (GERMANY OPP)

Same group who did NO DESTINATION, recorded in 1970, much heavier sound, long organ guitar led tracks all in English, a really cracking heavy prog LP, in my collection for ever! Cover nice except for small name reat top, vinyl has just v little background noise

DAVID BOWIE - MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD (UK PHILIPS)

Super rare Dress cover original, had forgotten how good it is musically also, great prog rock album with Ronson in great form. Cover front and back are lovely with no ringwear! Just some light edgewear, spine completely readable which is a miracle. The vinyl does have some light marks, plays EX to M- with a litte light crackle here and there, looks strict VG+ I guess but as I said it plays well, mint one would be £1k now, 10 years+ since I had one

Very rare original issue, South African female vocal progressive, highly rated by many, nice copy and complete with inner sleeve, bit of a Carol Of Harvest vibe, hear the recent reissue

Wild UK freakbeat only issued in Sweden, v rare, cover nice with just a couple of lamination creases, vinyl has some marks, looks vg plays better, you wont see another for ages!

Ex reviewer, UK original with inner, insert and VERY rare large promo poster, have sold the poster in worse condition on it's own for this price last year, poster is mint!, little light tape residue to cover front top left, nice package

One of my fave UK jazz albums, superb vibe to this album and really rare, Signed on the front by Garrick (he just died recently unfortunately), Henry Lowther / Norma Winstone / Don Rendell, reall class album great copy

Great blues rock with Tony TS McPhee and beautiful psychedelic cover, couple light hairlines plays near mint

Superb 1981 in concert with band backing, , 9 min version of BIG MUFF and also nearly 9 mins of JOHNNY TOO BAD, less than 50 copies made , most destroyed, with cue sheets, awesome item!

Holy grail for UK folk collectors and the best copy I ever had, played 3 or 4 times from new I'd think, crystal clear audio, cover lovely with no ringwear ! And perfect spine. Not cheap but you will be hard pressed to better this copy, still cheaper than ebay
