SPRING 2010

Spring nearly here - Record fais started in earnest, lots of great new titles in, over 500 new LP's and a few biggies. For the first time is years I've got 2 albums up for "Offers" - good trades or cash bids please, no end date I'll just take what I feel is the best offer for these super desirable classics.

Enjoy the list - credit crunch - what credit crunch ? Records still make a great investment, price still rising rapidly better than watching your money in the bank, watch it going round on a turntable instead !

Due to the rubbish state of the UK economy prices may seem much better than normal to our fellow collectors worldwide, get it while you can !

Prices on the net and in particular Ebay seem to be going through the roof for nice items - we know that we could get bigger prices on some of these items there, but we run this site for the love of the music and to reward our loyal customers. We've never had ambitions to be rich (it shows!) and would rather more folks hear this great stuff we collect. Having said that a lot of our prices have risen over the years - if we get it cheap you get it cheap, if it's costs us, it costs you.

 

On a duller note, we have had to register Psychotron Records for VAT. If any of our regular customers are also registered in their own countries, please let us know. Our UK VAT number is 813 5148 48.

ANDWELLAS DREAM - LOVE AND POETRY (UK CBS 1969)

Here's a classic, first time in years I'm going for offers, killer UK psych and incredibly rare and brilliant of course, cover just a tint pin hole in 2 corners, tiny top edge wear (no where near split) spine perfect, vinyl near mint under normal light, just a few whispers under halogen spot light, plays m- all through, not worth upgrading until you find an unplayed one (hah)

BLUE PHANTOM - DISTORTIONS (UK KALEIDOSCOPE 1972)

Nice copy of now very rare trippy doomy instrumental prog, often described as sounding like a "bad trip" it's highly sought after, on tiny label, great guitars and organ

BLOSSOM TOES - IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT (UK MARMALADE 1969)

Super rare UK original, PEACE LOVING MAN yet to be bettered for a fuzzed freakout solo, fantastic lp, vinyl nice and plays super, just a few light lamintion creases on the cover and light discolouration to the top rear edge from age

Best copy I've had for this Uk garage/psych classic, usually tatty cover is nice and vinyl near mint just one surface scuff on A3 that is silent, rare and great

FAINE JADE - INTROSPECTION( USA )

Her very rare 1st lp, only issued in the USA, there were two pressings in diff coloured sleeves, this is the earliest in the pinkish front cover, in superb condition with booklet ! Only 2nd I've had in over 30 years! Her voice was much sweeter then

3 HUR EL (TURKEY DISKOTUR 1970?)

Super are original of their 1st lp, electric leads over Turkish psych/rock/folk, really nice grows with each plays, only a few light scuffs and plays great!!, original fold out cover clean too with only wear top opening edge

MIKE FURBER - JUST A POOR BOY (AUSTRALIA KOMMOTION 1966)

V rare Aussie garage classic, in fantastic period cover, has light marks, looks vg+ plays ex with just a few crackles, very rare, 4* in Pokora book

ALEX HARVEY - THE BLUES (GERMAN POLYDOR 1964)

Very rare 1st LP only issued in German 1964, nice too, has sticker tear top left which will colour in nicely (but I'm not into doctoring covers), vinyl super, date stamped into matrix

MAPLEOAK (UK DECCA 1971)

One of the rarest UK lp's, only 2nd I've had in 25 years, 3 uk guys sounding like USA West coast rural rock but rather stoned, (indeed a cut called FRANKLEY STONED) some nice organ guitar cuts, laid back classic, 1 silent scuff plays great

Played once reviewer copy, unboxed mono original!! Won't find better

Original solid blue label, disc in lovely condition and plays super, the blue tinged gatefold has slight ringwear but only slight, not sealed on one edge, some made with open edges like the later "black" covers, has 2 stickers and 2 posters, 1 poster m- the other ex, original black inner

Monster USA psych in amazing cover with wild side long track MUSICAL JOURNEY, sure you've heard the reissues, this sounds way better, little blue colour on rear, cover nice and vinyl clean too, great lp

Super rare UK only lp backed by Alexis Korner on guitar and Stan Greig on drums, art cover, flipback, only 2nd copy I've ever seen and the other was trashed, nice stuff
